This week, our eco-challenge invites us to consider and pray about our use of energy and water in our quest to live more sustainably. As we think of people who have no access to a reliable source of energy and clean water, not least people besieged in Ukraine, let us not take for granted what we have.
On Saturday March 26th, we are having a coffee morning, cake sale and bring and buy in the Cabin, 10 – 12. Proceeds to go to the DEC Ukraine Appeal.
Looking ahead to Mothering Sunday 27th March: Covid has meant that for the past 2 years we have celebrated Mothering Sunday differently. In 2020, we all brought a flower to the church, and in 2021 we hung decorated hearts on our Happy-Sad tree. It can be a difficult day for many people for a variety of reasons. This year, we are thinking that we might invite everyone to bring a small posy, plant or bag of goodies to church, and then take what we bring to someone who could do with the boost that a small unexpected gift brings. As God mothers us, we can in turn mother others.
