Our carol service for all the Hardwick community takes place on Sunday 18 December at 4.30pm.
Although not too formal, and suitable for adults and children, our carol service still has candles, carols, choir, organ music and Bible readings. The candles have been set on the window sills, the Christmas tree is decorated, the mulled wine is warming, the school choir have been singing at the Albert Hall and now come to St Mary’s, the church’s Christmas choir have been rehearsing. We are all ready to sing and listen as, for many, the wonder of Christmas begins with our carol service.
(Because there are quite a number of things to sit and listen to in the carol service, it is probably most suitable for children over the age of 7, but you are welcome to bring younger children and there are toys and books at the back of the church if needed.)
