On 13th April, Friends of St Mary’s Hardwick will be doing a sponsored Walk or Run or Cycle (depending on fitness!) from Great St Mary’s in Cambridge to St Mary’s in Hardwick. We are raising funds to repair the ceiling of the church after chunks of plaster fell down. We also need to repair coping stones of the roof because that’s where water might be getting in. And of course, we need to do this without harming our resident bats! The church has been closed for safety reasons and we want it open again. We expect work to start in March and to cost around £30,000. Any help you can give towards this will be greatly appreciated.
