Here are local workshops for those serious about mission or interested in exploring what it might entail.  The first two are in the series ‘conversations in mission’.  All are organised by the Diocesan Mission Department for lay and ordained teams who are thinking through approaches to mission beyond traditional church.

Let me know if you intend to go and I’ll book in a Lordsbridge group, alternatively book direct via mission@office.ely.anglican.org.

Sunday 18th Jan, 7pm – 9pm, St Andrew’s Centre, Histon
Understanding Culture: Listening to our Community’. Workshop led by Paul Weston, Mission Tutor at Ridley Hall.  (Paul led a well-received evening in our own Lordsbridge School of Theology series in 2013.)

Sunday 22nd Feb, 7pm – 9pm, St Andrew’s Centre, Histon.
‘Essential tools for Pioneering Ministry’. Workshop led by Dave Male, Director of the Centre for Pioneer Learning.  (Dave Male is also Fresh Expressions advisor for Ely Diocese and well worth listening to.)

Wednesday 25th February, 7.30pm – 9.30pm, St. Mary’s Church, Ely
Connecting’ workshop: Connecting with those outside the church’ with Paul Griffiths from ‘The Ugly Duckling Company’.  The evening will include presentation, discussion, resources, ideas, networking, story-sharing and refreshments.  Refreshments from 7.15pm.  (I heard Paul speak a year ago.  He has some excellent ideas and resources for those with no experience of church.)
