Give Thanks
- For rest and refreshment during Summer holidays
- For contacts made over the summer via Summer Afternoon at St Mary’s, Oasis and in other ways and pray that we can build on contacts made.
Praying for the life and service within our churches and witness within each parish
- Reaching out in new ways to our communities
- Our ministry of enabling communities to celebrate with God and each other through the cycle of the year, particularly in Harvest thanksgiving services and Harvest community events across the villages.
- Our ministry of pastoral care: services planned for All Soul’s to remember loved ones who have died, Butterflies bereavement support group, the Link Group and those who do pastoral visiting
- Ministry Team meeting for all clergy and readers tomorrow evening (4th) to pray and plan how best to share the work throughout the next few months.
- Continue to pray for Becca, Rich and family as they settle into their new home and community.
Childrens work and other events
- Toft’s Sunday-Monday Club for children starts 8 Sept
- Caldecote and Comberton – preparation for Communion Group for children starts 2 Sept.
- Comberton – Children’s work at St Mary’s starts 7 Sept
- Coton – Reviewing their involvement of families and children after several new contacts made over the last few months.
- Dry Drayton – Sunday Club starts 14 Sept & amjor redecorating will get underway in mid-October to further enhance the building
- Hardwick – Pippin’s café re-opens 6 Sept & Sunday Club restarts 7 Sept.
- Youth discipleship and young people and adults working towards being confirmed this Autumn.
Lord God, in your love you sent your Son
In your grace you called us back to you.
In your mission you placed us where we are
And formed us into a team
Call us onward into your purposes and growth
Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
