Christmas was celebrated at St Mary’s in many ways this year – the Christmas fun morning with its creativity and a reflective moment with families singing and signing ‘O Come let us adore him‘; the Christingle for younger children with a candle-lit Christmas tea party; the traditional readings of the carol service woven into the story of redemption and salvation for us; the midnight communion to celebrate the moment when Christmas Eve tips into Christmas Day; and the Christmas Morning celebration with sound effects and prayer stars and (brief) reflection that when Christmas is over, Jesus is still here!
